I Terrazzi nestles in the quiet village of Roccacasale, just below the ruins of the medieval castle. Roccacasale is within the national park and the village clings impossibly to the slopes of the Maiella mountains.

Local Area

Above all, this authentic 16th century house with all modern facilities gives the true feeling of Italian mountain village life. It is an ideal base for exploring the mountains, literally on the doorstep, and the surrounding area which is packed with historical and natural marvels.

There are bars and restaurants nearby plus the bustling market town of Sulmona 8km away. The Rome Pescara motorway is 5km from the house giving easy access from both Pescara and Rome airports (about 1.5 hours drive to Rome). There are ski resorts nearby, and the beaches of the Adriatic are 30-40 mins away.

Top floor double bedroom

This bedroon has a super king size bed and an en suite shower room.This light and airy bedroom has a very high sloping ceiling and a juliet balcony to enjoy the fantastic will find plenty of storage space with a wardrobe, chest of drawers dressing table as well as bed side cabinets.The ensuite has a shower cubicle , WC and sink with lighted cabinet above.

Top floor twin bedroom

A large twin bedroom with a low sloping ceiling and two single beds.This room has direct access to the roof terrace as well as the top floor lobby.You will find plenty of storage space.

Roof Terrace

The Roof terrace is one of the most outstanding features of this house. The views are just astounding at ant time of day, as you would expect since it is situated at an altitude of about 2800 feet.There is a table, chairs,parasol as well as outside lights and a tap.

Open Plan Living / Dining / Kitchen Middle Floor

The main entrance door leads in to this area and there is also a door to the lower terrace .

The comfortable seating area has an open fireplace television, radio / cd and  DVD recorder/player

The dining area has a juliet balcony and houses an extending dining table which seats 4, 6 or 8.

In the well equipped kitchen you will find a gas oven, gas hob and extractor fan. A dishwasher and a fridge. There is a kettle and a coffee machine and plenty of cookware. Cutlery. crockery and glassware are provided.

Utility Room Middle Floor

The microwave oven is in the utility room.The utility room also houses the washer/dryer and the freezer.You will find an iron and ironing board an airer and all of the cleaning equipment in this room.The utility room is off the main living room (please see floor plans on gallery page)

Double Bedroom on Middle Floor

This bedroom has a double bed and a juliet balcony along with a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Family Shower room Middle Floor

Large shower cubicle, WC, sink with lighted bathroom cabinet above.

A hall gives access to the bedroom, shower room and living room on this floor. There is also a metal spiral staircase leading to the lower floor.


Double Bedroom Lower Floor With EnSuite Bathroom

The lower floor can be accessed via the internal spiral staircase or an external door.

The external door leads to a small lobby then on into a large bedroom with king size bed and a small balcony.This room leads to a walk in wardrobe ( nothing fancy i'm afraid - just some hanging rails) and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a bath with shower above, WC and sink with lighted bathroom cabinet above.

Please note- the house is not directly accessible by car. You can drive to within 25 meters for unloading, but must then go to the car park. The nearest car park is 150meters away. There is a short but very steep walk to the house
